One Definition of Character

Character can be defined as doing the right thing whether or not anyone is looking.

It's a combination of emotional, intellectual and moral qualities that distinguish us from others.

Our nation's reputation is a reflection of our personal character. Let's keep our high standards.

We need to strengthen the concept of a person's word being as good as his bond. We need to be able to believe an individual whether or not he/she has a hand on a Bible.

We must remember that actions have consequences.

(From "The Republican Common Sense Approach to Senior Citizen Issues" 2002)

We will all have an opportunity to watch our members of Congress demonstrate their levels of character this weekend. Will they stand up for their ideals or will they follow the leadership who has control of committee appointments in order to benefit themselves rather than their constituents?

Have a good weekend--
God bless............
